Your wait is over – we’ve reopened for face to face treatments
Brigstock Family Practice finally reopened this Saturday and is now once again providing clients with face to face treatments. First of all thank you to all you lovely clients who have waited so patiently for the restarting of your treatments and please do accept our apologies for this late announcement. It wasn’t until late Wednesday evening that the clinic finally received confirmation from our insurers that they were satisfied with our procedures and that we were fully insured and could restart your treatments. Since the starting gun was fired on that emotional evening the team have been working flat out to get themselves and the clinic ready for your arrival and the important work of making you all as proud of your skin as you can be.
Of paramount importance is the safety of you, our clients and that of the team. With this in mind the clinic has implemented a whole host of new infection control measures in-line with government and public health guidance. Further details of those measures and the actions the team is taking to protect you and the things we are asking you to consider and comply with when you come for your treatments can be found here. A lot of this is simple common sense precautions like sanitise your hands when you enter the clinic, come on your own and wear your face mask. It also includes asking those clients who are at higher risk from coronavirus to wait a little longer for their treatments until the NHS guidance changes. So before you ring the clinic and book your treatment please do check the NHS website and make sure it is safe for you to come to the clinic for your treatments first.
The clinic has of course been open throughout the lockdown period offering virtual consultations for topical skin treatments like Obagi products that can be self-administered. We will still continue to offer these popular virtual consultations where appropriate as this will help reduce the infection control risk to clients visiting the clinic by simply keeping the number of people visiting as low as possible. For those treatments that require a clinical technician or doctor to administer them, like laser hair removal or wrinkle reduction injections, the very highest standards of clinical infection control will be maintained. All team members have undergone extensive training in the use of PPE and cleaning procedures before and after every treatment. Receptionists have also been trained to ask specific screening questions during telephone calls to clients to ensure they and their family members have not recently experienced any coronavirus symptoms before inviting anyone into the clinic.
