In the past, the most effective way of treating facial wrinkles and sagging skin used to be a surgical facelift. Despite the cost and risk associated, this drastic procedure was nevertheless very popular; and it is perhaps easy to understand why. The loss of volume and skin elasticity can age the appearance of the face quite considerably and not everyone is completely comfortable with this. The good news is that surgery is now no longer necessary. There is now an established alternative treatment to surgery that not only achieves more natural results, but is a fraction of the cost, much safer and has very little if any downtime. The technique is called threadlifting. The threadlift procedure uses specially designed surgical threads, which are inserted into the skin using very fine needles and the results are simply spectacular.
As well as providing a natural looking lift to sagging skin the threads also stimulates your body to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This not only improves the appearance of your skin by reducing wrinkles, it also increases volume giving your face a more youthful appearance. The feedback from the Centre’s clients is simply amazing. Here’s an exert from Shelia’s testimonial:
“Even though you’ve seen the before and after pictures. I always think ‘Are they really that good?’ but this really was that good. And it’s not under the knife. It took an hour; and half of that time was for the numbing cream to work.”

Threadlifts are particularly suited for any clients over the age of 30 who find that sagging, loss of definition and wrinkles are becoming a problem. The threads themselves are made of specially designed polydioxanone surgical threads that have been used in surgical procedures for many years. The procedure works particularly well on the cheeks, mouth and jawline, but is also effective on the neck area and around the eyes.
The procedure is performed using a topical cream to numb the area that the needles are inserted into and generally last 1.5 to 2 hours. There are no scars. The effect is immediate and swelling minimal, so much so that there is practically no downtime. It is possible you might develop some slight bruising but this is generally very minor and can easily be covered with a little make-up. The threads actually dissolve after 6 – 8 months but the effect will last for up to 2 years. An added benefit to this technique is the way the threads stimulate the production of collagen and volume. As a result, 4 weeks following the procedure most clients see enhanced improvements in the appearance of the skin around the area that’s been treated.
Patients are amazed with the results achieved especially considering how minimally invasive the technique is and considering the fact that it doesn’t involve any significant pain. Another amazing feature of the threadlifting technique is its cost. For a simple lifting procedure around the mouth you can expect to invest just £500.
