It provides a way of giving lift to the face without having to go under the knife. There is minimal downtime and it only requires local anesthetic!

Who is the threadlift good for?
The threadlift is a great way to provide a more youthful definition and lift to the face, without needing surgery. It is a great technique for women over the age of 30 years when sagging and loss of definition to the face usually begin to cause problems. It is a great way to lift the skin around the eyebrows, cheeks and mouth, jawline and also neck area using minimally invasive techniques.

How does it work?
The threadlift uses special surgical threads made from polydioxanone, which has been used by surgeons for many years. These threads are inserted into the skin using very fine needles. The needles are removed immediately and the design of the threads produces immediate, instant lifting of the skin. The threads dissolve after 6-8 months but during this time they stimulate your body to produce its own collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This increases skin volume and makes it stronger and keeps the lifted appearance for up to 2 years.

Is it painful?
Not Really. Local anaesthetic in the form of cream is applied to the skin. This is usually all that is needed for most clients.

How long does it take?
You will need to give yourself about 1.5 – 2 hours to have this procedure done.

How will I look and feel afterwards?
As with any procedure, there will be some effects on your skin. Your skin will be slightly red at the injection sites and you may develop slight swelling and some bruising. Your skin will feel tighter after the procedure and you may have a slight prickling sensation under the skin. These effects usually settle down after 1 week. You will see an immediate result after the procedure however, you will continue to see improvement as new collagen comes into the area particularly from the 4 week mark after the procedure.

Do I need to do anything after the procedure?
We advise you rest after the procedure and don’t touch the treated area for at least 4 hours. We advise against facials for 4 weeks and strenuous activity for about 1 week.

How long does it last?
The threadlift effect is immediate and can last up to 2 years.

How much does a thread lift cost?
