Important information

To get the best results from your treatment your preparation makes a real difference so to ensure you’re 100% ready for your session please follow this advice:

Avoid tanning and going under sunbeds for at least 2 weeks in order to prepare for Laser/IPL hair removal.
The uses of sun beds, fake tan and prolonged exposure to the sun all change the pigment colour of the skin. The Laser/IPL is attracted to the pigment so by adding pigment to the surface of the skin, you are increasing the risk of a reaction. It is important to also be using a minimum SPF 15 sunscreen to protect areas which are exposed to the sun.

Refrain from plucking, waxing and threading for at least 3-4 weeks prior to undergoing laser hair removal.
If the hair is not in the follicle the laser will not be able to treat it. These other hair removal techniques can reduce the effectiveness of the laser treatment. Shaving is fine as it only cuts the hair on the surface of the skin without removing if from the follicle. Hair should not be bleached either as this is changing the pigment of the hair as the laser will not be attracted to the hair.

Ensure that the skin at the treatment site is clean and free of cosmetics, lotions and creams.
Before procedures are undertaken it is important that your skin is clean and free of product use to enable effective treatment. If deodorant has been applied it should be removed prior to treatment.

No Treatments or Cosmetic Procedures
No peels or skin treatments for two weeks prior to the treatment (relevant to only the area being lasered). Also no wrinkle-reducing injections or fillers for two weeks prior (relevant to the treated area only), this allows the filler to be settled in the skin before pressing a laser on the area. Avoid using any retinoic acid (RETIN A) type products, micro-derma abrasion dermaplaning of the skin to be treated for 3 days PRIOR to treatment and 3 days after.
