Covid-19 Safety Measures

It’s important for you to be sure that your treatments at the clinic are being provided safely as infection rates increase over the winter period and new strains of the virus, like Omicron, add to the case numbers. The Brigstock Skin and Laser Clinic is fortunate in that, as a medical facility registered with the Care Quality Commission, high standards of infection control are maintained as part of our normal operating processes. Obviously given the NHS and government’s updated guidance as recent infection rates rise these measures have been significantly tightened and are being followed strictly.

For example, unlike many retailers and supermarkets, the clinic is screening everyone entering the building over the phone and in-person for any symptoms of the infection. This includes members of the team as well as clients and any other members of the public. As well as team members undertaking regular lateral flow tests, clients attending the clinic are also being asked to undertake a lateral flow test where possible. We’re also in the fortunate position of receiving the most up to date guidance on how best to deal with infections as it is released and have an appropriately trained team of clinicians who are best able to interpret the guidance into appropriate infection control processes that will effectively reduce infection rates.

Where appropriate we’re also offering clients telephone consultations and free delivery of any products bought over the telephone so you don’t have to run out of any of your regular skin products. This will also reduce the number of people entering the building without causing any detrimental effects on the health of your skin during these next few weeks. Where you have treatment sessions scheduled these will be carried out as normal following screening for any symptoms of infection. If you do have symptoms of infection your treatment session will be rescheduled for when you’re feeling better.

Hopefully, you’ll find this update helpful. If however, you’d like further information on the procedures the clinic is taking to keep you safe during the pandemic please call the clinic on 020 8683 6730 and speak with one of the team who will be happy to answer your questions.
