Coconut Cooler

Ingredients

6 regular sized ice cubes
400ml Pure Coconut Water
Juice from 1 lime – freshly squeezed
12 – 18 fresh mint leaves

This is a deliciously light and refreshing drink with a whole host of valuable electrolytes like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and sodium; perfect for rehydrating your skin and body on a hot summer’s day.

There’s a lot of research to suggest that much of today’s sweet drinks, often sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, are responsible for many modern health issues like obesity and diabetes. We also know that fructose has an oxidative effect on your body and that this is certainly not a good thing for your skin. You can add xylitol to sweeten this Coconut Cooler if you wish. Personally I don’t feel it really needs it.

Recipe

  1. Throw the following ingredients in your Nutribullet or food blender and give it a very brief blast so your ice doesn’t just become mush.Enjoy!
